01
Getting started and pricing
Is ChurchOn free?
Yes. ChurchOn currently offers a free plan only. It includes up to 100 members, 20 bulletins, 5 users, and 1 GB of storage.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. Sign in with Google or your email, no credit card required, and you can create your church right away. There's no approval process.
Do I need to install anything? Does it work on phones?
There's nothing to install. ChurchOn runs in the web browser on computers, tablets, and phones. There's no separate app to download.
What happens if we reach a free plan limit?
Once you reach a limit, you can't add more of that item. If you need more room, email shalom@churchon.org. Archived members count toward the member limit, and only deleting a member frees up a spot.
Has ChurchOn officially launched?
Not yet. ChurchOn is in early access ahead of its official launch. You can already use member records, bulletins, and the file library on the free plan.
02
Member records
Can I import our member list from Excel?
Not yet. Excel import and export are on our roadmap. For now, you can add members one at a time or send members an update link so they can fill in their own details.
Can new visitors register themselves?
Yes. Staff add just the newcomer's name and send a link. The newcomer fills in their phone, address and photo without signing in, and it goes straight into your directory when they save. Each link opens only that person's details, so it isn't an open sign-up form.
Can members update their own information?
Yes. Send an update link to one member or a whole household, and they can edit their own details and photo without signing in. Links work for 14 days by default.
What's the difference between archiving and deleting a member?
Archiving takes a member off your active list for reasons like moving, a long absence, or passing away, and you can undo it anytime. Only church admins can delete a member, and deleting can't be undone.
03
Bulletins
Can I export the bulletin as a PDF?
No. ChurchOn bulletins are mobile bulletins that open on a phone, not PDFs. You share them by copying the link or using the QR code and share card image.
How many bulletins can I make per day?
You can make one bulletin per church per date. Because dates differ, you can have a Sunday bulletin and a Wednesday service bulletin in the same week.
Which Bible translations can I use in a bulletin?
There are three: the Korean Revised Version (개역개정), the NIV, and the Chinese Union Version (Simplified). Type a reference like John 3:16-18 and the text fills in automatically.
What does our public bulletin link look like?
It looks like www.churchon.org/b/grace-church, and it always shows the latest bulletin. If you change your church address, the old link redirects to the new one, and you can turn public access on or off anytime.
04
File library
How large a file can I upload to the library?
Each file can be up to 2 GB, and uploads pick up where they left off if your connection drops. Total storage on the free plan is 1 GB.
Can I add a password to a shared library link?
Yes. You can add an optional password of 4 to 16 characters to a share link. Choose 7 days, 30 days, or no expiration, and decide whether people can only view or also download.
Can I control who sees each file?
Yes. Each file can be set to one of three levels: everyone, staff, or admins only. Deleted files go to the trash, where you can restore them.
05
Data and security
Where is our church data stored?
Servers, the database, and files are hosted by Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. Sign-in is handled by Supabase, and every connection is encrypted with HTTPS.
Who can see our church's information?
Each church's data is kept separate, so only users invited to your church can see it. There are two roles, church admin and staff, and only admins can do things like permanently delete members or view change history.
How do I delete my account or our church's data?
Email shalom@churchon.org. Account deletion is completed within 30 days after we confirm your identity, and if your church asks us to delete all of its data, we'll delete it.
06
Accounts and support
What languages does ChurchOn support?
The screen is available in Korean, English, and Simplified Chinese, and each person can choose their own. Member details and bulletin content stay exactly as entered.
Can ChurchOn track attendance or giving?
Not yet. Attendance tracking and giving or finance features are on our roadmap. The offering block in bulletins is just a space for content in the bulletin, not a way to record or total giving.
How do I add staff to our church?
Invite them by email from the console. Invitations are valid for 7 days, and the free plan includes up to 5 users.
How do I contact ChurchOn?
Email us at shalom@churchon.org. ChurchOn is built and run by X CODE ONE SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
